These CDs were initially conceived of as a resource for teachers and libraries. Accordingly, each one comes with extensive liner notes and/or a separate book explaining the background, context, and sources for the music. For those who want to take this a step further and conduct classroom exercises using the CDs, we provide these teacher’s guides, which contain suggested activities pertaining to various curriculum connections, including American history, English, and music.
