New Victorian Christmas CD!

We are thrilled to announce the release of our latest CD, “Carol of the Bells, A Victorian Christmas.” With hammered dulcimer, violin, viola, mandolin, pennywhistle, and, of course, harmony vocals, it complements our earlier Christmas recording, “To Hear the Angels Sing.” The abundance of the Christmas holiday as we know it today—with Christmas trees, cards, and gifts from Santa—is largely a creation of the Victorian era. Many of the carols we sing today are of the same vintage. But there were many, many more Christmas songs from the Victorian era that are generally unknown today. We’ve dug deep into songbooks of the day to bring some of them back to life, and we’ve included the original versions of a few of the standards that may surprise you. Now, by popular demand, here it is!
